Jamie Carter is a HUGE asset to the #OneSlough team where she has generously donated over 75 hours of her time volunteering across the various vaccination sites in Slough since December 2020.
Despite having cerebral palsy, no task is too big or too small for Jamie. From managing the volunteer email inbox for the #OneSlough team or providing reception cover at the pop-up vaccination sites, she always gets right to work with a smile on her face!
Jamie said, “I wanted to help make a difference and have the chance to be more social as well and so far, my experience has been really good.”
Jamie is no stranger to volunteering where she has donated her time and expertise to The Curve, the allotment department at Slough Borough Council (SBC) and as a secretary at a local charity. Currently, she works part-time doing admin in the blue badge department at SBC.
Jamie is currently providing weekly admin support at the Salt Hill Vaccination Centre and is a delight to have as part of the #OneSlough team whether she is working behind the scenes or on site causing a stir on her infamous mobility scooter!
Thank you, Jamie for your hard work and dedication!
