A group of 40+ wonderful carers, were treated to a beautiful sunny day out at Windsor Castle, organised by Slough Carers Support and courtesy of Royal Collections Trust, on Monday 11 October. The day gave the carers some much needed respite from their caring responsibilities, with carers venturing from room to room and castle staff expertly sharing their knowledge and answering questions from the inquisitive group. The highlight of the day was the breath-taking St George’s Chapel, simply magnificent and well worth a visit.
Eleanor Cryer, Slough Mencap said: “I talked with some of the clients this morning and I was so pleased and surprised to know how much they took in and really seemed to love it all. Thank you so much for making it possible.”
The Windsor Castle trip meant so much to our carers, read what Satya, Kallie and Floris had to say below.
